The proposed program service is designed as follows:

Educational Programmers: 12%

Religious programmers: 11%
News and public affairs: 10%
Children and youth programmers: 8%
Adult and cultural programmers: 15%

The above programmed schedule currently used by KCRS is catering for the needs and interests of the community from young kids to adults. Telephone response from listeners indicates that they approve of the format.  Kangala Radio has become the community paging system as listeners use the Radio to pass on messages to other listeners without telephones.

The Radio is available for all community services taking place in its area of coverage.  Functions like traditional ceremonies, educational programmers, communication and the promotion of the minority languages like IsiNdebele, siSwati and sePedi, which are spoken in the Target area.    KCRS is the station where people share their job skills with others. The Radio Station also supports a local flea markets marketed by the NGO, s as well as various CBO, s where people sell their handmade crafts.
